Outpatient hospice and palliative service celebrates anniversary
On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, the "Outpatient Hospice and Palliative Service Ried EV- Wegwarte" invites you to a special event in cooperation with the advice center for older people in the southern district of Riedstadt and Stockstadt am Rhein.
At the center of the anniversary program is a keynote speech by Dr. Swantje Goebel on the current topic: "Live self-determined, die self-determined" on Thursday, January 30th at 6 p.m. in the town hall in Riedstadt-Goddelau.
The sociologist Dr. Swantje Goebel has been active in hospice work for 25 years, committed to the German Society for Patient Dude EV and the heads of the Bergstrasse Hospice in Bensheim/Südhessen. With a lot of experience in hospice culture and palliative competence, she will illuminate central questions about autonomy and quality of life in the last phase of life in her lecture and the deep question of how a self -determined life can succeed until the end.
The outpatient hospice service "Warte" has been committed to accompanying the seriously ill people and their belonging and associated. The anniversary offers the opportunity to honor the valuable work of the volunteers and to underline the importance of hospice work in our society.
The event is open to anyone interested, regardless of whether they have already had points of contact with the topic of hospice work or want to deal with it for the first time. Participation is free of charge, registration is not required. The outpatient hospice service Wegwarte EV and the advice center for older people look forward to numerous visitors and an inspiring evening that offers space for questions, get to know and exchange.
