When he performs, he suddenly becomes invisible. He brings his puppets to life with virtuosity and vibrancy that are unparalleled. Millions of internet users and thousands of live audience members already know him. With his show "ZeHage – Best of plus X," René Marik is coming to Rüsselsheim, bringing his beloved puppets, most notably Mole, Falkenhorst the Frog, and Kalle the Polar Bear.

It all started about ten years ago with a few videos that René recorded with the simplest of means during one of his shows and uploaded to YouTube. These spread like wildfire, and Maulwurfn became a viral star. What followed paved the way for a new subgenre within comedy: puppetry for adults. In just a few years, the trained puppeteer René Marik went from a YouTube phenomenon to a fixture of the German entertainment scene. His quirky, endearing, and unique puppet comedy earned him countless sold-out shows, multiple platinum awards for his DVDs, and a feature film. After an artistic hiatus in 2012, René Marik returned to the stage with new adventures.
In his current show, "ZeHage – Best of plus X," he presents fresh adventures of his beloved characters and combines them with highlights from the last 10 years. René Marik also regularly integrates new sketches, continuously weaving the stories of these all-too-human hand puppets. One thing is clear: The Mole has long been a fixture of the cultural canon and is virtually indispensable on German-language stages.
