The Eberstadt business association and city councilor Paul Georg Wandrey make a festive start to the Advent season possible.
Eberstadt is celebrating a festive first this year: For the first time, a Christmas tree stands directly at the town entrance on the roundabout , welcoming all visitors. After being erected on November 26th, the lights were officially switched on two days later by Paul Georg Wandrey, Head of Mobility and Civil Engineering, and the Eberstadt Business Association .
This innovation was made possible by the strong commitment of the local business association and the support of the department head, who approved both the use of the space and the technical implementation of the electricity connection. In cooperation with ENTEGA, a permanent power supply was installed using an existing conduit. The business association is covering the entire cost of approximately €4,000 for materials, connection, and labor.
"A lovely welcome for Eberstadt"
"The tree at the entrance to the town is a wonderful welcome to Eberstadt and demonstrates what can be achieved through the collaboration of local clubs and the town," explained Councillor Wandrey at the joint unveiling ceremony. "With the new Christmas tree, Eberstadt is starting the Advent season visibly and atmospherically right at the town entrance for the first time."
The chairman of the local business association, Michael Kniess , also emphasized the importance of the project: "The fact that the tree is now standing in this central location for the first time and is permanently illuminated is a major step for the design of our district during the Advent season. We are grateful for the good cooperation with the city."
