Traffic disruptions caused by oversized and heavy transport vehicles
Partial closures will occur overnight on the A3 motorway near the Hanau interchange (54). According to the Federal Autobahn GmbH, the exit ramp in the direction of Frankfurt will be closed on two separate dates:
- Thursday, March 6, 10 p.m. to Friday, March 7, 5 a.m
- Monday, March 24, 10 p.m. to Tuesday, March 25, 5 a.m
The closure is necessary to remove the guardrails on the connecting ramp. This will allow the transport of oversized and heavy goods vehicles. The guardrails will be reinstalled during the second closure on March 24.
Temporary speed limit and detour
Between the two closures, the exit remains accessible, however, the speed limit is reduced to 40 km/h .
A local detour is in place and leads via the U40 diversion route . Traffic will be directed from the Seligenstadt interchange via the L 3121 (Rodgau) and the B 45 back to the Hanau interchange .
Autobahn GmbH requests all road users to adjust their driving style on the diversion route and to show understanding for the necessary work and the resulting traffic disruptions.
