Asphalt work leads to traffic disruptions on three weekends in March
On the A3 in the direction of Würzburg, closures and road narrowing in March . As Autobahn GmbH asphalt deck layer in the area of the Mönchhof triangle will be renewed on three consecutive weekends . The reason is considerable damage caused by cracks, gear grooves and numerous patchbones.
First full closure from March 7th to 10th 2025
🚧 Period of the blocking:
- Friday, March 7, 10 p.m. to Monday, March 10, 5 a.m.
- A3 from the junction (AS) Raunheim towards Würzburg fully blocked
- The AS Raunheim and the parallel lane to the A67 towards Darmstadt remain open
🔄 Dererance:
- Traffic on the A3 towards Würzburg is diverted to the A67 towards Darmstadt on AS Raunheim and must contact AS Rüsselsheim-Ost .
- the traffic from Raunheim runs via the A3 towards Cologne , the Wiesbadener Kreuz , the A66 towards Frankfurt and the Northwest Cross Frankfurt on the A5 towards Darmstadt/Basel to the Frankfurter Kreuz (A3) .
- Alternatively, from the Krifteler triangle the possibility to get to the A3 via the B40 to the AS Kelsterbach .
- From the Wiesbadener Kreuz, the traffic is diverted large over the A66 towards Frankfurt , the Northwest Cross Frankfurt and the A5 towards Darmstadt/Basel to the Frankfurter Kreuz (A3) .
Restrictions on the following weekends
📅 14th to March 17th & 21st to March 24th:
- A3 towards Würzburg in front of AS Raunheim only a lane accessible
- As Raunheim and parallel lane to the A67 towards Darmstadt remain open
- Large -scale diversion recommendation via the A66 towards Frankfurt
- On the last weekend in construction, the traffic towards Würzburg on AS Raunheim is back to the A3 towards Würzburg via the parallel lane .
Building measures for traffic optimization
As Autobahn GmbH explains, the measure was deliberately laid the weekends less traffic to impair as little as possible. Nevertheless, road users should plan longer travel times and observe the current traffic reports on radio .
