Renovation work between Darmstadt interchange and Eberstadt
There will be temporary lane closures on the A5 motorway in the Darmstadt area next week.
The Autobahn GmbH des Bundes is carrying out renovation work between the Darmstadt interchange and the Darmstadt-Eberstadt junction.
Closures in the southbound direction
From Monday, March 16th, to Thursday, March 19th, 2026, the right lane and the shoulder in the southbound direction will be closed between 7:30 am and approximately 4:30 pm
The cause is damage to the shoulder
The reason for the work is erosion of the shoulder and a slope slide , which necessitate short-term repairs.
Autobahn GmbH asks road users for their understanding regarding possible traffic disruptions in this section of the motorway.
