Railway rehabilitation between Gernsheim and Darmstadt / detours set up
In the course of the road renewal on the A67, the entrance at the Pfungstadt (7) junction in the direction of Frankfurt has been completely closed since Tuesday, April 22nd. The measure affects the section between the Gernsheim junction (8) and the Darmstadt cross (6). The closure is expected to exist until Tuesday, April 29, around 6 p.m.
The Autobahn GmbH of the West, Western branch, extensively renovates the road surface in this area. The work should be completed by mid -May 2025. In the meantime, all lanes are preserved on the A67, but are narrowed.
Overview of detours:
- Traffic is diverted via the B426 to the Darmstadt-Eberstadt junction to the A5 towards Frankfurt .
- Further diversion takes place via the U40 requirement redirection , which to the Gernsheim junction via B426, B44 and L3112 .
Car travelers are asked to plan more travel time, to consider the current traffic reports and to take into account possible impairments by the construction site in route planning.
