Road resurfacing between Gernsheim and Darmstadt / Detours in place
Due to road resurfacing work on the A67, the on-ramp at the Pfungstadt interchange (7) in the direction of Frankfurt has been completely closed since Tuesday, April 22. The closure affects the section between the Gernsheim interchange (8) and the Darmstadt interchange (6). It is expected to remain in effect until approximately 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29.
The Autobahn GmbH des Bundes, Niederlassung West (Federal Highway Company, Western Branch), is carrying out extensive road surface repairs in this area. The work is scheduled for completion by mid-May 2025. During this time, all lanes on the A67 will remain open, but will be narrowed.
Overview of detours:
- Traffic will be diverted via the B426 to the Darmstadt-Eberstadt junction onto the A5 towards Frankfurt .
- Another diversion route is via the U40 diversion route , which leads via B426, B44 and L3112 to the Gernsheim junction .
Motorists are asked to allow more travel time, to pay attention to current traffic reports and to take possible disruptions caused by the construction site into account when planning their routes.
