Dismantling a pedestrian bridge necessitates closure in both directions.
The western branch of Autobahn GmbH will close the A67 between the Gernsheim (8) and Pfungstadt (7) interchanges from approximately 8 a.m. on Sunday, December 14, 2025, until approximately 4 a.m. on Monday, December 15, 2025. The closure is due to the dismantling of a pedestrian bridge that cannot be preserved due to significant structural defects. The bridge has been closed since the beginning of 2024.
Detours towards Darmstadt/Frankfurt
- Locally: From the Gernsheim exit via the U5 diversion route (L31112, B44, B426) to the Pfungstadt exit
- Large-scale route: From Viernheimer Kreuz via A659 to A5 towards Frankfurt
Detours towards Mannheim
- Locally: From the Pfungstadt exit via the U40 diversion route (B426, B44, L3112) to the Gernsheim exit
- Large-scale route: From Darmstadt interchange via A5 towards Heidelberg
Autobahn GmbH requests that road users drive carefully on the diversion routes and ask for understanding regarding the unavoidable restrictions.
