Exploratory drilling for the new Frankfurt–Mannheim railway line
As part of the planning for the new Frankfurt–Mannheim railway line, DB InfraGO AG is conducting geotechnical investigations in the area of the A67 motorway. This will result in temporary closures at the Gernsheim interchange (8) in the direction of Darmstadt.
Gernsheim exit closed
From Friday, February 27, 2026, at approximately 8 p.m., until Monday, March 2, 2026, at approximately 5 a.m., the exit of the Gernsheim interchange will be closed in the direction of Darmstadt.
Recommended diversion route:
Diversion U40 from Pfungstadt junction via B426, B44 and L3112.
Access to Gernsheim closed
From Friday, March 6, 2026, at approximately 8 p.m., until Monday, March 9, 2026, at approximately 5 a.m., the access to the Gernsheim interchange will be closed in the direction of Darmstadt.
Recommended detour:
Detour U5 via L3112, B44 and B426 to the Pfungstadt interchange.
