Completion of the inner city project "Griesheim. Inside" with hands-on offers and exhibition
Griesheim. to the campaign day "Mit (te)!" On Saturday, August 9 , from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. a. “Griesheim. Inside” on the Georg student facility and Georg-Schüler-Platz around the Georg August-Zinn-Haus . The day is the ceremonial conclusion of the two -year project, which was carried out as part of the federal funding program "Sustainable inner cities and centers" .
Results of citizen participation in focus
The central element of the event is the presentation of the results of the online participation , in which over 40 measures for inner city development stood for voting. , all measures supported by the funding program are presented on site , including mobile city furniture and multifunctional supporters that are shown in use.
In the Georg-August-Zinn-Haus, exhibition informs about the entire project, the participation formats as well as the background and goals of "Griesheim. Inside".
Colorful program for all generations
The supporting program of the action day is aimed at all age groups:
- Consulting campaigns , e.g. B. football artistics and flower wreath workshop
- Face painting and a large giant slide on the meadow in front of the Georg-August-Zinn-Haus
- Care stands with food and drinks
Background: Citizens' Ideas for a lively city center
With the project "Griesheim. Inside", the city wants to make its city center more attractive and livable . The basis for the development was a broad participation process based on the municipal guideline for good citizen participation . Already at the first day of the campaign "Griesheim Takes with (TE)" on June 3, 2023, numerous ideas were collected, which were then concretized digitally via an idea card , workshops and the urban idea management system. 40 of them into a final online vote , the results of which are now presented publicly.
