Public session on June 18 in the Heinrich Klein-Saal / Mayor Feick: "Inclusion only succeeds together with the local people"
The city of Reinheim consistently continues its path to implement the UN Convention on the Rights of Disabilities. After the first update in 2020, the municipal action plan will now be further developed again. In addition, the city's inclusion advisory board invites all interested citizens to the Heinrich Klein-Hall in the Hofgut Reinheim (Kirchstraße 24) Wednesday, June 18, 2025 .
The aim is to collect new proposals, name existing challenges together with affected people, associations, political bodies and the urban society, and to develop concrete measures. So far progress is also to be documented and initiatives that have already started.
As early as 2016, Reinheim was one of the first municipalities in the region to set up its own action plan to implement the UN Convention. The basis was a vision: Reinheim as a city worth living for everyone - regardless of disability, age or life situation. From the beginning, the city relied on a broad participation process and the active integration of people with disabilities and their advocates.
Mayor Manuel Feick emphasizes the importance of the project: "It is very important to us that we continue this action plan and do this together with as many actors as possible. Because this is the only way we can create together together for everyone in our city." He expressly invites you to participate: "I would be very happy to be able to welcome many interested citizens to the second meeting on June 18."
If you cannot participate in person, you have the option of submitting written proposals by email-either to the city's volunteer disabled person's representative at Disablede Order@reinheim.de or to the social service at sociales@reinheim.de .
