Science City publishes digital brochure
The Children and Youth Services department of the City of Darmstadt has published the brochure ‘Active Holidays 2025 – I'm in!’ online. It is now available for download on the City of Darmstadt's Leisure and Holidays website.
Furthermore, postcards with a QR code are available in schools, daycare centers, municipal offices, and at the citizen information desk in the New Town Hall on Luisenplatz. This code can be scanned with a smartphone or tablet and will redirect users directly to the City of Darmstadt's website, where the brochure can be accessed and downloaded.
"To ensure there's no boredom during the 2025 school holidays, the motto is: Get out of the house, experience new things, do cool activities with friends, and maybe even go away without your parents. We're happy to support you in this," explains Barbara Akdeniz, Head of the Children and Youth Department. "The brochure 'Active Holidays 2025 – I'm in!' will certainly be helpful in compiling holiday and leisure activities. It summarizes a wide range of leisure and holiday options for you to plan your own holiday time," says Akdeniz, who wishes all children and young people lots of fun browsing through it and expressly thanks the independent organizations, clubs, and associations that, together with all their volunteers, have once again come up with such diverse and varied activities: "It's not something to be taken for granted that people dedicate their free time with commitment, creativity, and so much passion to children's and youth work."
Registrations for leisure activities and events offered by independent organizations are always handled directly with the respective provider. For holiday programs offered by the Children and Youth Services Department, which includes the leisure activities at the Albert Schweitzer House in Lindenfels, registrations can be made at the Children and Youth Services Department in City Hall III at Frankfurter Straße 71. Furthermore, no child or young person in Darmstadt should be excluded from participating in holiday programs due to a difficult financial situation. Therefore, we would like to expressly draw your attention to the funding opportunities available through the Education and Participation Package (BuT).
