Mayor Rüddenklau praises the commitment and training achievements of six graduates
The pedagogical staff in the municipal daycare centers of the district town of Groß-Gerau will now receive active support: Six women have successfully completed their qualification as additional pedagogical staff and will work in the municipal daycare centers in the future.
Mayor Jörg Rüddenklau personally congratulated the graduates and thanked them for their commitment:
“I congratulate you on passing your exams and thank you for your willingness to support our municipal daycare centers with your knowledge and energy in the future. Despite a tight budget, we are consciously investing in the qualification of additional staff to counteract the shortage of skilled workers in early childhood education.”
Career start with prospects
The newly trained additional staff – Sabira Alagic , Hava Hilal Bag , Mariana Buzila , Sobia Khan , Pinar Merik and Jutta Schad – praised the practical training and the support from the experienced teams on site. The personal exchange among them not only helped with their learning but also fostered new friendships.
The graduates were especially delighted by the symbolic presentation of college caps – a gift from Gudrun Richarz , the mother of a daycare center director. Some of the new staff members can already imagine continuing their training to become qualified early childhood educators.
"The qualification was an important stepping stone for me, offering a future," said Sabira Alagic.
600 teaching units in one year
As Isabel Lopez-Ruiz , head of the municipal department for daycare facilities, explained, the training comprises ten modules with a total of 600 teaching units . Key areas include legal frameworks, relationship building, developmental observation, educational partnership with parents, and reflection on one's own actions – always oriented towards the Hessian Education and Upbringing Plan.
Currently, the additional staff trained by the city, many of whom work part-time, are employed in approximately 22 full-time positions . Their contribution to relieving and supporting the teaching staff should not be underestimated – and is a benefit for children, parents, and professionals alike.
