Collaboration with the Anticipation Hub strengthens climate preparedness and humanitarian response capabilities
ADRA Germany e.V. has announced a new partnership with the Anticipation Hub . The aim of this collaboration is anticipatory humanitarian action and adaptation to climate change to further advance be deployed as soon as crises emerge – not just after disasters occur.
The partnership was October 24, 2025. announced in Weiterstadt of early aid measures, especially for particularly vulnerable communities worldwide.
Early warning systems and rapid assistance in crisis regions
ADRA is internationally active in anticipatory aid projects, including in Mozambique, Somalia, Ethiopia, Syria, India, Indonesia, and Fiji.
One example is the project in the province of Cabo Delgado (Mozambique): Two measures have been developed there to enable a rapid response to impending cyclones or floods. In an emergency, up to 25,000 people receive vouchers for food, water, and hygiene products. Additionally, protective kits containing tarpaulins, tools, mosquito nets, and solar lights distributed to protect the population early on.

Another example is the project “Cross-border disaster preparedness pays off”. Together with partners in East Africa, ADRA is strengthening local early warning systems and empowering communities to respond better to climate-related risks.
Knowledge exchange and global networking
The collaboration with the Anticipation Hub creates a platform for knowledge transfer, mutual learning, and the development of innovative approaches in the field of climate resilience. Initial joint activities will take place within the framework of the Global Dialogue Platform in Berlin .
