Around 250 guests experience a musical and cultural program in the town hall.
Around 250 senior citizens accepted the invitation from the city's senior citizens' services to the Advent celebration in the Groß-Gerau town hall on Wednesday. The attendees enjoyed a varied afternoon with music, dancing, and socializing.
The brass band from the Protestant City Church of Groß-Gerau kicked off the festivities with a musical performance – singing along was expressly encouraged. In his welcoming remarks, Mayor Jörg Rüddenklau emphasized that, despite the city's tight budget, it was crucial for the traditional event to take place. He also expressed his gratitude to the city's senior citizens' services and the many volunteers who made the celebration possible.
Other program highlights included performances by the dance group of the Groß-Gerau gymnastics club, the Fidelen Ukulelen ensemble, and the Nordschule choir, all of whom contributed to the lively atmosphere. The beverage service was provided by the social group of the German Red Cross, Wallerstädten branch.
