ESOC Chorus invites you to the Christuskirche on December 6, 2025.
As the ESOC Chorus announces, the traditional Advent concert "Christmas Day – Christmas Sounds from Around the World" will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 7 p.m. in the Christuskirche Eberstadt . For many years, the international choir has delighted its audiences with diverse programs during Advent.
A musical journey through countries and eras
The program showcases the diversity of Advent and Christmas music – from well-known classics to modern arrangements. Audiences will hear popular Christmas carols in new, sometimes jazzy, versions, such as a jazzed-up Christmas tree in "Leise rieselnden Schnee" (Softly Falls the Snow) or the medley "Christmas Day" by Gustav Holst.
Traditional works such as "Puer natus in Bethlehem" by Michael Praetorius and "Laudate Dominum" by W.A. Mozart are further highlights of the evening. Folk songs from Eastern Europe and American spirituals broaden the musical journey with international sounds.
The choir will be accompanied by organist Misty Schaffert . As usual, the audience is invited to sing along .
An international choir with a long tradition
The ESOC Chorus , founded in 1990, unites around 40 singers from numerous nations. Its repertoire includes sacred and secular choral music from various eras, as well as works by contemporary composers.
The choir is directed by Kushtrim Gashi , who studied composition and orchestral conducting in Pristina, as well as choral conducting and music theory at the Academy of Music in Darmstadt. He conducts several choirs and orchestras in the region.
Admission and ticket sales
The concert starts at 7 pm (doors open at 6:30 pm ).
Admission: 15 euros, children up to 12 years free.
