Tree planting and charity walks also planned for 2026
Representatives of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat from the Baitul Aziz Mosque in Goddelau delivered their traditional New Year's greetings to Mayor Marcus Kretschmann at the town . The visit included Imam Awayes Ahmad Malik, the district chairman of the men's organization Ansarullah Atta-ul Ghafoor, the local chairman Abdul Shakoor, and Mumtaz Ahmad from the Stockstadt presidium. As a token of their friendship, they presented the mayor with a bouquet of flowers.
During the discussion, representatives of the Ahmadiyya community emphasized their willingness to continue actively contributing to the common good in Riedstadt. Plans include continuing regular clean-up campaigns, replanting trees in the city's neighborhoods, and organizing charity walks throughout the year.
Mayor Marcus Kretschmann thanked the community for its continuous commitment and acknowledged the contribution of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community to social cohesion in the town of Büchner.
