Experts discuss the opportunities and risks of artificial intelligence in everyday business.
District of Groß-Gerau. More and more companies are using artificial intelligence (AI) – according to the industry association Bitkom , one in three companies now uses such technologies, and eight out of ten see it as the most important technology of the future . But while AI offers great potential for efficiency and sustainability, there are also critical voices: A study by the European Broadcasting Union showed that AI assistants reproduce news content incorrectly in around 45 percent of cases . Furthermore, the energy and resource consumption of data centers is a growing concern.
Under the title "(Green) AI in everyday business," the Groß-Gerau district therefore hosting a free online event that will address the question of how artificial intelligence can actually make companies more sustainable . The event will take place on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 , from 3 p.m. to approximately 4:30 p.m.
The speakers are Susann Feuerschütz and Gerrit Neuhaus from the Mittelstand-Digital Center for Future Culture / Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development . Using practical examples from offices, production, and energy management, they will demonstrate how AI save energy, materials, and time and relieve the burden on skilled workers . The program will also cover issues of ecological sustainability and include concrete case studies from the field .
The event is part of the "Energy in Business" , which has been running since 2019. It is aimed at companies and interested parties who want to learn about and discuss the use of AI in everyday business.
