Concert on 18 October 2025 at the Agora Cultural Center
The Aiolos Reed Quintet will perform at the Agora Cultural Center at Darmstadt's Ostbahnhof station on Saturday, October 18, 2025. The ensemble was founded in 2024 in the Rhine-Main area and brings together five musicians from four nations: David Avendaño (Colombia), Julia Büttner (Germany), Naama Caspo Goldstein (Israel), Ivan Petrov (Bulgaria), and Regina Reiter (Germany).
The unique instrumentation of oboe, clarinet, bassoon, bass clarinet, and saxophone creates timbres distinct from those of classical woodwind quintets. The repertoire ranges from contemporary original compositions to arrangements of classical works and popular music. The ensemble's goal is to bring the richness of orchestral sound to chamber music and also to explore unusual concert venues.
