Excellent performance at the World Music Festival - seventh place in international competition
With great musical engagement, the 1st orchestra of the Chordia '73 Crumstadt eV was convincing at the 14th World Music Festival in Innsbruck. In the category "accordion orchestra - adult - upper level 1", the orchestra reached a remarkable seventh place among 24 international participants from May 29 to June 1, 2025. The jury awarded the performance "excellent" (41.75 points).
Under the direction of conductor Marc Fischer, the musicians presented a demanding program consisting of the "Dione" sentence "Die Monde des Saturn" by Stefan Hippe and the premiere of the "Büchner Variations" by Ian Watson-a tribute to Georg Büchner and Riedstadt composed especially for the 50th anniversary of the chord.
The orchestra consisted of 26 players and two drummer. The participation of three young talents from their own youth orchestra and other guest musicians from friends of friends was particularly gratifying.
In addition to the musical success, the trip was also a community experience. The successful appearance was carried out by team spirit, a good atmosphere and the commitment of everyone involved. As the best -placed orchestra from the region, the ensemble set a musical exclamation mark.
