Art by people with and without disabilities as a sign of lived inclusion
Under the title "Me – right in the middle of the Groß-Gerau district," the foyer of the Groß-Gerau district administration will host an inclusive art exhibition from May 5 to 30, 2025, featuring works by artists with and without disabilities. The exhibition focuses on diversity, participation, and the importance of creative expression for an inclusive society.
The grand opening will take place on May 5th at 6 pm in the district administration building. Visitors will have the opportunity to talk to the artists, discover their works, and discuss the topic of inclusion.
The exhibition was deliberately timed to coincide with the European Day of Protest for the Equality of People with Disabilities . It aims to send a visible message against discrimination and exclusion – and at the same time be a strong plea for solidarity and social inclusion.
“The title ‘Me – Right in the Middle’ perfectly captures the message: Every person belongs at the heart of society, regardless of their abilities,” emphasizes First County Councillor Adil Oyan . The presented artworks are an expression of creativity, personality, and diversity.
The exhibition is a collaborative project, supported by:
