As the Darmstadt regional council reports, the event "Use and further development of KI - Made in Hesse" will take place on May 22nd as part of the European Christmas. The organizers are Europe Direct Darmstadt in the regional council, Athene, Count+Care and the Hessian State Chancellery. Participation is free.
AI applications in practice and research
The conference is opened with a greeting by government president Prof. Dr. Jan Hilligardt. Afterwards Antonio Jorba, IT team leader at Count+Care, reports on "Practical example KI at energy supply companies: training, possibilities and limits".
Dr. Eneldo Loza Mencía from the National Research Center Athene provides an insight into "AI innovations to secure the digital world". Another contribution comes from Dr. Michael Kreutzer (also Athene), who under the title "Artificial Intelligence - It's (Not) A Kind of Magic!" explains where AI increases efficiency, but also has its limits.
Interactive AI exhibition and exchange with experts
A highlight of the event is an interactive exhibition with AI demonstrations to try out. Visitors receive practical insights and can exchange ideas with the experts. The final "Get Together" also takes care of the physical well -being.
Dr. Kreutzer emphasizes: "Hessen is a champion in the development of AI, especially for practical applications." Examples include Deepfake recognition or the fight against disinformation by Athene.
