Practical cellulose insulation workshop on December 5th and 6th, 2025 in Leeheim
As renovation manager Bernd Krick explains, Marco Arras wants to renovate his house in Leeheim in a climate-friendly way – not all at once and as cost-effectively as possible. He approached renovation manager Krick with this request, who suggested a joint workshop on the topic of attic insulation.
Practical workshop in two sessions
The idea: With the help of volunteers, the attic will be insulated with cellulose, and part of it will be walkable. Participants will learn how to do it and can then implement the insulation in their own homes. The workshop starts on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 2 p.m. with an introductory presentation, followed by the practical work. A second group starts Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 10 a.m.
Costs and benefits
“We are currently looking at investment costs of around €22 per square meter ,” explains Krick. “ We have energy cost savings €7.50 per square meter . This means the measure will pay for itself in the third year ,” the renovation manager continues. He adds that the increased comfort noticeable in both summer and winter.
