Digitizing parking processes is intended to increase convenience for drivers
AutoPay system is now available in several parking garages in Darmstadt. This feature allows ticketless parking PayByPhone app , which has been used in the city for several years. Once activated, drivers can conveniently enter and exit without having to take a parking ticket or pay at a machine.
The new technology is based on automatic license plate recognition (ANPR), where the license plate is scanned upon entry and exit. The parking duration is recorded, and the fee is automatically charged to the registered payment method. The digital receipt is then sent via email.
Q-Park Grafenstraße , Q-Park Luisencenter , and Q-Park Zentrum parking garages are currently connected to the system, among others . This feature can be used in many other Q-Park facilities throughout Germany.
In addition to the AutoPay system, the app also offers a map view for finding parking spaces and an overview of available parking zones in the vicinity. The app is available in several languages and can be downloaded from the App Store or the Google Play Store.
