Digitization of parking should increase comfort for drivers
Autopay system is now available in several parking garages in Darmstadt. The function enables the ticketless parking via the app of the provider Paybyphone , which has been used in the city for several years. After activating the function, drivers can easily get on and out without pulling a parking ticket or paying at the cash register.
The new technology is based on the automatic license plate detection (ANPR), in which the license plate is scanned when entering and extending. The parking time is recorded and the fee automatically billed using the stored payment method. The digital receipt is then sent by email.
Q-Park Grafenstraße , Q-Park Luisencenter and Q-Park center are currently connected to the system. The function can be used across Germany in many other Q-Park facilities.
In addition to the Autopay system, the app also offers a map view of the search for a parking space and an overview of available parking zones in the area. The app is available in several languages and can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play Store.
