Sing-along concert with Lonely Hearts Club Band and Volker Rebell on October 11, 2025
On Saturday, October 11, 2025, the Bessunger Knabenschule in Darmstadt invites you to a special anniversary concert: “60 Years of The Beatles: HELP!” The album will be played live in its entirety – supplemented by commentary, anecdotes, and the opportunity to sing along.
The concert is part of a series of Beatles LP anniversary celebrations that has been running successfully for years. All the songs from the album HELP! , along with four additional single tracks. In addition to the musical performance by the musicians of the Lonely Hearts Club Band, Volker Rebell will provide commentary on each song in the form of a witty live radio broadcast.
Released in 1965, the album HELP! marks a turning point in the Beatles' career: from early pop songs to more complex soundscapes that later culminated in Rubber Soul and Revolver . It contains classics such as "Help!", "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away", "Ticket to Ride" and "Yesterday".
