Miguel Alves Ribeiro is a state-certified social worker and previously worked in family support services. In his first few weeks, he has already established numerous contacts – both within the municipal administration and with external agencies. "I'm looking forward to the task and the people of Nauheim. It's important that social counseling takes place directly on-site – accessible, confidential, and solution-oriented," said the new BeKo employee.
The creation of this position is considered a forward-looking measure to address the growing need for social counseling services in the Groß-Gerau district. Other municipalities in the district have created similar positions in response to societal changes and the increasing importance of decentralized, community-based social work.
