Fundraising campaign for seating in public spaces
Public benches invite you to take a short break, have a conversation, or simply enjoy a little respite. In Riedstadt, the town of Büchner, they can be found in many locations throughout all five districts. Currently, a total of 567 benches have been recorded within the town limits.
Anyone who feels a bench is needed at a particular location and would like to donate one can contact the Environmental Department of the City of Riedstadt. They will assess whether a bench can be placed at the desired location. If so, the next steps will be coordinated. Digital overview of all benches in Riedstadt
This overview is based on a resolution passed by the city council. Following this, the environmental working group conducted a complete inventory of all seating. The locations of the 567 benches are shown on a digital map based on OpenStreetMap.
The map can be accessed via the city of Riedstadt's geoportal and via the town map on the city's website . It is also published on the "Climate-Friendly Riedstadt" .
This overview allows interested parties to quickly identify where seating is already available and where additional seating might be needed. Benches significantly contribute to the quality of public spaces and enhance the quality of life in neighborhoods.
