Construction of the temporary containers from July 7th to 9th – parts of the Orangery closed
New facilities for after-school care are currently being built at the Bessungen school. Two care rooms and an outdoor storage area are being constructed using modular timber framing on the northern part of the schoolyard. Preparatory work, such as earthworks and utility connections, began during the Easter holidays.
The construction of the containers is affecting the orangery
From Monday, July 7th, to Wednesday, July 9th, the demountable containers will be installed using a crane. The area between the orangery building and the restaurant terrace will be used for construction access. During this period, the orangery building will be closed – events cannot be held there.
Further work will take place during the Hessian summer holidays, including the construction of the outdoor storage area and the installation of the photovoltaic system on the roof. This may noise disturbances during the day .
Start of use at the start of the new school year
Final cleaning and furnishing of the new childcare rooms are planned for the end of the summer holidays The after-school care program should be able to move into and use the new rooms start of the 2025/2026 school year
