Board confirmed until 2027 – Roland Ohnacker remains chairman of TCB
In its 25th anniversary year, the Bessungen 2000 Darmstadt Tennis Club (TCB) has opted for continuity in its leadership. At the annual general meeting, the entire board was unanimously re-elected for another two years, until 2027.
Roland Ohnacker remains club chairman, Sandra Russo continues as second chairwoman and head of the office at the club's grounds behind the racetrack . The other board members were also confirmed in their positions: Ingrid Siegrist (finance), Michael Erler (secretary), Luis Kaiser and Ilona Tangemann (youth), Caroline Hall and Philipp Grahm (competitive sports), Florian Weber (groundskeeper), Ralf Geschka (recreational sports), and Ingeborg Holzhause (events). Veronika Rodenhäuser and Dirk Tangemann will serve as auditors.
660 members and strong youth work
The TCB currently has around 660 members and is active in almost all age groups – for example, with the women's 40 team in the Regionalliga Süd-Südwest , the highest German league for their age group. Youth development is also a high priority for the club.
International tournament and summer festival planned
The club's flagship sporting event is the women's tennis world ranking tournament "Tennis International ," which will be held for the 49th time at the Bessungen facility from July 14th to 20th, 2025. This long-standing tournament enjoys a firm place on the international calendar and is organized entirely by volunteers from the TCB team.
Another highlight of the anniversary year is the summer festival on August 16, 2025 at the club grounds, to which members and friends of the club are invited.
The Bessungen Tennis Club was formed in 2000 from the tennis department of the Bessungen Gymnastics Club (TGB) and has since developed into one of the most renowned tennis clubs in the region.
