Police offer protection against theft - registration from May 19th possible
In order to prevent bicycle theft, the 2nd police station Darmstadt organizes a free bicycle coding on Saturday, May 31, 2025. The campaign takes place in Heidelberger Straße 195, on the site of Farbkrauth.
The coding complements classic theft fuses such as stable locks or GPS trackers. It makes it possible to undoubtedly assign a found wheel to the rightful owner - and discourages potential thieves.
Registration required by phone
Registration is imperative and can be made on the following days:
- Monday, May 19 to Thursday, May 22nd, May 22nd
- Monday, May 26th to Wednesday, May 28th
- From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on phone 06151 / 969-41254
Information about the manufacturer, type and frame number of the bicycle should already be kept ready for registration.
Necessary documents for coding:
- ID card or other ID document
- Proof of ownership for the bike
- E-bike or pedelec owner: Bring a battery key
- Carbon bikes cannot be encoded
