Criminal police are asking for information – the bicycles come from various operations in recent weeks.
Police report that several bicycles have been seized or found in Darmstadt in recent weeks, and their rightful owners are currently unknown. The criminal investigation department is seeking anyone who recognizes one of the bicycles and can prove ownership.
Overview of seized and recovered bicycles
August 23, 2025 – Wenckstrasse (after an arrest):
- grey-green Zündapp bicycle
- Women's bicycle Pegasus
October 3, 2025 – Herrngarten area:
- black BMX bike “Black Bike”
- black men's bicycle with a striking basket
October 5, 2025 – Crime scene: ATM break-in:
- Decathlon Oxylane folding bike
October 22, 2025 – Bismarckstrasse:
- Bergamont gravel bike , colors blue/gold
November 8, 2025 – Herrngarten:
- blue Cube Nature Pro
- black and green Cube Aim with integrated alarm system (presumably stolen property)
Police are requesting feedback.
Anyone who recognizes one of the bicycles or can claim ownership is asked to contact the Darmstadt Criminal Police (K43) . Suitable proof such as purchase receipts, frame numbers, or photos is required.

After a period of four weeks, bicycles that cannot be assigned to a specific owner are handed over to the lost and found office of the city of Darmstadt .
