Darmstadt city archive invites you to book presentation with Dr. Manfred Efinger
Darmstadt. Milli on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 . The event takes place in the Eckhart G. Franz-Saal of the House of History at Karolinenplatz 3.
The author of the work is Dr. Manfred Efinger , who first traces the extraordinary life of Milli Bau in a comprehensive monograph. The biography appears on the occasion of its 119th birthday and is based on previously unpublished photos, documents and contemporary witness talks - many of them from private ownership.

In 2024, the city archive presented the estate of Milli Bau in an exhibition for the first time. At that time, photos, letters and manuscripts gave an insight into the eventful life of the journalist, translator and globetrotter. With the biography there is now a detailed reappraisal of your way of life - from Darmstadt into the world and back.
After the reading, it is possible to purchase the book and have it signed by the author. The organizers are the Darmstadt City Archives, author Dr. Manfred Efinger and the Justus-Liebig-Verlag. Admission is free.
