The German Red Cross Weiterstadt to its next on Thursday, November 13, 2025 , from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Weiterstadt Civic Center . This time, the local branch has come up with a special promotion: all donors have the chance to win three restaurant vouchers for Weiterstadt restaurants
Following the donation, the German Red Cross invites all participants to a snack at the community center .
Blood donation saves lives
Donating blood is one of the easiest and quickest ways to help others – and can save lives. The actual blood draw only takes about 15 minutes , the entire process including the recovery period takes about an hour .
healthy adult weighing over 50 kilograms can donate blood. Men can donate every two months, women every three months. There is no longer an upper age limit.
The German Red Cross (DRK) in Weiterstadt is calling on all undecided people to participate: "Saving lives together is more fun – just come to donate blood with friends."
