Surprise for the children's fire brigade - now only one name is missing!
Big eyes and bright faces at the blue light gang of the Griesheim volunteer fire brigade : The children's fire brigade has received its own mascot! As the Griesheim fire brigade reports in a press release, the idea came about in a conversation between the children's fire brigade and Michaela Brandecker from the Griesheimer "Näh-Fabrik". The implementation remained a well -kept secret until the presentation - and the surprise was successful.
"The children knew nothing about it and the joy was huge when they finally held the finished mascot in their hands," reports the blue light gang team. And the surprise grew even bigger: Michaela Brandecker gave the lovingly manufactured plush toy to the children's fire brigade.
Learn and experience together
Since March 2024, the blue light gang meets every 14 days at 4 p.m. in the fire station. With a loud call "Blue light gang 112 - we are there!" Start the 15 children aged six to nine with their six -member support team in varied practice hours.
The program includes not only fire issues such as the equipment, stopping an emergency call or vehicles. The children's fire brigade also undertakes joint activities such as bike tours, handicrafts or cookie baking. This creates a great sense of community - with fire brigade knowledge and lots of fun!
Waiting list for new members
There is great interest in the blue light gang. If you want to participate, you currently have to be put on a waiting list. Inquiries can be made by email to Kinderfeuerwehr@griesheim.de .
Now only one name is missing!
One thing is still pending: the new mascot of the blue light gang has no name yet! Perhaps the children themselves can soon vote on what the new plush fire brigade friend should be called. However, it is clear: The blue light gang has found a new, cozy companion, which will accompany them in the future with their exciting fire service adventures.
