BluesNasen & Feel the Blues bring authentic blues to Darmstadt on January 3rd
The year will kick off with a real bluesy atmosphere at the Bessunger Knabenschule : On January 3, 2026, the Darmstadt BluesFest with two groups that enjoy cult status in the regional scene.
The BluesNasen, augmented by Larry “Doc” Watkins and Hans “Harp” Steinbacher, interpret classics from their idols and tell a story with every song. Rolli Blumenauer and Michael “Gröbi” Gröbert performing together since the early 80s – their unmistakable guitar sound defines the band and ensures an energetic interplay full of intuitive understanding.
Singer Larry “Doc” Watkins (Virginia/USA) adds a special touch with his improvisational stage presence, while Daniel Rozman (drums) and Klaus Saiko (bass, ex Nuthin But…) provide the deep groove. Hans “Harp” Steinbacher, known from Sixpack and as a colleague of Abi Wallenstein, among other things, complements the ensemble with his distinctive blues harp playing.

The second highlight is Feel The Blues – an acoustic duo from "Hessian Siberia," consisting of Thomas "Stolle" Stolkmann and Peter Fuest. They passionately interpret works by JL Hooker, B.B. King, Clapton and J.J. Cale. Stolle's bluesy, soulful, and funk voice is guaranteed to give you goosebumps, while the versatile guitar playing of both musicians has been setting standards for years.
