Blues evening with special guest Iso Herquist on February 7, 2026
When musical paths cross again after many years, special concert evenings are the result. That's exactly what the blues concert by Die Bluespapas together with Lonesome Andy at the Künstlerkeller Darmstadt . The evening will be complemented by a top-class special guest: the ukulele legend Iso Herquist .
A musical connection with history
The musicians first met in 2011 at a jazz festival in Bayreuth. Even then, the young Andy and his "Blues Orchestra" impressed with their intensive and professional exploration of historical blues. From that first meeting, a musical connection developed that has endured over the years.
Today, Andy lives primarily with his family in southern Italy and regularly tours Germany from there. His former blues orchestra is a thing of the past, but the blues remains. Under the name Lonesome Andy, he brings the sound of a full band to the stage as a one-man band.
Top-class blues at the Residenz Palace
Since Andy will be touring Germany again in February, a joint concert evening with the Bluespapas was a natural fit. An added highlight will be Iso Herquist, who will be filling in for the absent Bernd. Herquist had already thrilled the audience at a sold-out concert in the Künstlerkeller last year.
The audience can look forward to a varied blues evening that combines traditional roots with lively playing and once again underlines the Künstlerkeller as a fixed address for handmade music in Darmstadt.
