Movement and community: Boules for people with dementia in Darmstadt
The group meets every Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the Bessunger Forstmeisterplatz behind the Jagdhofkeller. For 22 euros per appointment, which can be billed via the relief flat rate of long -term care insurance, the participants experience movement, social contacts and structured activity.

The focus is on fun
Volunteer coordinator Elke Schneider emphasizes: "It's not about playing particularly well, but about fun together." Scientific studies show that activity and new sensory stimuli can slow down the progression of the disease.
The group is accompanied by trained volunteers who were specially trained for this task. During this time, relatives little break , exchange ideas or drink coffee together. Many new friendships have already been created!
