Roadworks from October 6th – detours and altered bus services
DARMSTADT-WIXHAUSEN – From Monday, October 6, until approximately Friday, October 17, 2025, the Mobility and Civil Engineering Office of the City of Darmstadt will be carrying out roadworks in Brückengasse. The affected section is between Falltorstraße and the bridge over the Mühlbach.
Road and bridge renewal
The badly damaged road surface will be renewed over an area of approximately 1,500 square meters. Additionally, the asphalt surface on the bridge structure over the Apfelbach stream will be replaced.
Full closure with detours
During the construction work, Brückengasse will be completely closed in the aforementioned section. Traffic will be diverted from Falltorstraße via Rebusgasse, Körnerstraße and Ludwig-Thoma-Straße towards Trinkbornstraße.
Impact on bus services
Bus services are also affected: routes will be diverted via Ludwig-Thoma-Straße. HEAG mobilo will post signs indicating the detours. Motorists should expect disruptions during the construction period.
