Road construction work from 6 October – diversions and modified bus services
DARMSTADT-WIXHAUSEN – From Monday, October 6, until Friday, October 17, 2025, the Mobility and Civil Engineering Office of the Science City of Darmstadt will be carrying out road construction work on Brückengasse. The section affected is between Falltorstraße and the bridge over the Mühlbach stream.
Renewal of the roadway and bridge
The heavily damaged roadway will be resurfaced over an area of approximately 1,500 square meters. In addition, the asphalt surface on the bridge over the Apfelbach stream will be replaced.
Full closure with diversions
During the construction work, Brückengasse will be completely closed in this section. Traffic will be diverted from Falltorstraße via Rebusgasse, Körnerstraße, and Ludwig-Thoma-Straße toward Trinkbornstraße.
Impact on bus traffic
Bus service is also affected: The routes will be routed via Ludwig-Thoma-Straße. HEAG mobilo will post the detours on site. Drivers should expect disruptions during the construction period.
