The mayor, fire department, and city administration provide information on current topics
Around 60 citizens accepted the invitation to the public meeting at the Gräfenhausen community center on May 12th. The well-attended event offered insights into key developments in the town – from infrastructure projects and fire safety to childcare.
Current projects and flight routes in focus
Mayor Ralf Möller opened the meeting with a comprehensive overview of current and planned projects in Gräfenhausen and the town of Weiterstadt as a whole. Particular interest was shown in the debate surrounding the new departure route for Frankfurt Airport, which will also affect Gräfenhausen in the future. The mayor also provided information on the Ohlystift project – a project that is of great concern to many in the town.
Fire department and daycare center as further key areas
In his presentation, City Fire Inspector Christopher Michna highlighted the role of the volunteer fire department, emphasizing its operational readiness and the importance of volunteer work. The cooperation among the emergency services was particularly praised.
Ariane Krug von Nidda, head of real estate management, then presented the new daycare center at the Schloss-Schule. Her report on the construction progress, the facilities, and the educational plan generated considerable interest among those present. Many subsequently took the opportunity to tour the new daycare premises.
