City informs about widespread false information
In a press release, the city of Darmstadt provides information about disinformation and misleading claims for the Bundestag election 2025. These would be spread in a targeted manner in order to unsettle voters. The city says that false information is already circulating in the postal voting office.
Corrections to frequent false reports
Voting slips: Voting slips for the Bundestag election have a marker for the blind and visually impaired in the upper right corner. This is not a defect and does not affect the secret choice.
Wahlurnen: Wahlurnen must be lockable, but neither sealed nor provided with a signature. The election board ensures their security.
Election observation: Everyone can observe the counting of votes, including non-eligible voting. Registration is not required. However, photos or copies of documents are not permitted.
