ADVERTISING
Impulse evening on February 11, 2026 at the “Gute Landung” – Networking with substance
Under the title "The newspaper is dead – long live the newspaper," a new edition of "Business Encounters" will take place on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at the "Gute Landung" beer garden in Egelsbach. The evening event is aimed at entrepreneurs, freelancers, and decision-makers who want to explore media impact, advertising, and modern communication strategies.
The highlight will be a 20-minute presentation by Ulrich Diehl, publisher and media entrepreneur from Darmstadt. His talk will address the question of whether and when advertising in daily and regional newspapers still makes sense today – and how classic print ads can be intelligently combined with digital tools.
Thinking print and digital together
Ulrich Diehl offers practical insights into the conditions under which advertisements in daily and regional newspapers actually perform well – and when budgets are wasted. He examines, among other things:
- how print ads can be combined with digital elements such as QR codes, UTM links, call tracking or coupons,
- what role motif, placement, frequency and offer play in the effect,
- and how advertising success can be measured.
The presentation is explicitly not intended as a promotional lecture, but as a compact practical update for budget managers and marketing managers in medium-sized businesses.
Networking without a rigid format
Following the keynote address, the focus will be on open networking at rotating tables. Instead of traditional elevator pitches, personal conversations on equal footing are encouraged. The goal is to forge new connections and exchange perspectives – without formal barriers.
The event starts at 6:00 PM, admission is from 5:30 PM. The venue is the "Gute Landung" beer garden in Egelsbach.
Participation costs €39. The price includes a buffet and drinks (soft drinks, beer, and cider). Places are limited.
