Church & Co. collects calendars for the Eberstadt prison
The fundraising campaign runs until December 23rd.
The ecumenical church shop Kirche & Co. reports that they are again collecting calendars this year for the inmates of the Eberstadt correctional facility. They need picture and photo calendars, pocket calendars, and planners in book form for the year 2026.
The calendars can be handed in until Monday, December 23rd , at Kirche & Co., An der Stadtkirche 1 , during opening hours:
Monday to Thursday from 10 am to 5 pm and Friday from 10 am to 1 pm.
The importance of calendars for prisoners
The donations are passed on to the chaplains at Eberstadt Prison and distributed there. According to the prison chaplaincy, the calendars are gratefully received every year: landscape motifs bring a sense of vastness to the cramped cells, and handy formats help inmates keep track of phone numbers and appointments.
For many inmates, it is crucial "to stay connected to the times." A calendar can be an important support in this regard. The chaplains thank everyone on behalf of the prisoners for every donation.
