Recognition for decades of commitment to politics and urban development
Darmstadt. The Darmstadt CDU warmly its long-standing member, Dr. Wolfgang Gehrke, 80th birthday . The engineer, who holds a doctorate, has been one of the most influential figures in Darmstadt's local politics for decades and has played a crucial role in shaping the city's development in various capacities.
“Wolfgang Gehrke stands for integrity, reliability and citizen-oriented politics. His commitment to our city and his loyalty to the CDU are exemplary and inspiring,” emphasizes Paul G. Wandrey , party chairman of the CDU Darmstadt.
A life in service to the city
Dr. Gehrke served in key positions for many years – initially as mayor and head of the building department , later as chairman of the city council , and currently as an honorary member of the city administration . With foresight and expertise, he consistently championed sustainable urban development and a strong local community.
“In addition to his political work, Dr. Gehrke always sought dialogue with the people and championed responsible coexistence in the city,” explain Caroline Groß and Dr. Annette Brunert , parliamentary group leaders of the CDU Darmstadt.
The CDU Darmstadt thanks Dr. Gehrke for his many years of dedication, his loyalty to the party, and his tireless commitment to the well-being of the city of Darmstadt. On his milestone birthday, the party members wish him health, happiness, and many fulfilling years with his family and friends.
