The Academy of Music performs at the art gallery
On Friday, February 28, students from the Academy of Music will present the chamber concert "Mathildenhöhe" at the Kunsthalle Darmstadt (Steubenplatz 1) as part of the "neue.tonkunst.darmstadt" series. The event begins at 8 p.m., and admission is free.
The program combines historical works – including compositions by Grand Duke Ernst Ludwig and Gustav Mahler – with contemporary sounds, including a work by Bruno Maderna, who spent the last years of his life in Darmstadt. A particular highlight is the world premiere of Laura Bellusci's electronic work "Schwarm" (Swarm), which draws inspiration from the Mathildenhöhe World Heritage Site.
