ADRA Germany eV celebrates 25 years of parcel campaign – kick-off on September 20th in Darmstadt
The aid organization ADRA Germany e.V. "Children Helping Children!" campaign on September 20th – and simultaneously celebrate the 25th anniversary of the parcel drive. The initiative was launched in 1999 at the Marienhöhe school center in Darmstadt. ADRA has been conducting the campaign nationwide since 2000.
Over the past 25 years, 774,000 packages collected and distributed to children in need. In 2024 alone, 26,771 packages were distributed – a number that ADRA hopes to surpass in its anniversary year.
Target countries and timeline 2025
This year, children, parents, and grandparents across Germany are once again packing Christmas parcels with school supplies, toys, clothing, and sweets . Over 300 action groups are supporting the collection. The parcels will go to children in Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, and North Macedonia .
To ensure the gifts arrive in time for Christmas, the campaign runs until mid-November. Detailed information is available at kinder-helfen-kindern.org
