The neonatology team provides information about risks and first aid for infants and toddlers
When young children begin to explore the world, the risk of accidents is inevitable – whether from falls, burns, or swallowed small objects. Even infants can be at risk, for example, during diaper changes. To prepare parents for potential emergencies, the team at the Neonatology Clinic of Darmstadt Hospital is offering four free information evenings .
In the evenings, the medical team led by neonatologist and pediatrician Dr. Georg Frey on common emergencies in newborns and infants. Everyday dangers are highlighted, and preventative measures are explained. Participants also receive practical advice on how to react correctly in an emergency. Individual questions can also be asked.

The events begin at 6 p.m. in the lecture hall of the Darmstadt Clinic , Grafenstraße 9 (on the right in the forecourt).

Registration is not required. Parents, grandparents, and all other interested parties are welcome.
Background:
The Neonatology Clinic , part of the Princess Margaret Children's Hospital at Darmstadt Hospital , has a neonatal intensive care unit and a monitoring unit. Together with the obstetrics department of the Women's Clinic, it forms the South Hesse Level I Perinatal Center – the only one of its kind in the region. The center offers 24/7 care with specially trained professionals for premature and high-risk births from the 23rd week of pregnancy onwards.
