Preparations for concert in April
When the choir “da capo” from the AGV “Eintracht” Münster 1901 eV invited people to “taster sessions” for their time travel project a year ago, no one could have guessed the enthusiasm and commitment with which the singers would identify with this project. The choir almost doubled in size within a very short time.
What began as a tentative start quickly blossomed into a powerful vocal ensemble. From the diverse mix of experienced voices in the "da capo" choir and new talents, a strong and harmonious choir has emerged under the professional direction of Darmstadt-based conductor Sebastian Grünewald. Anticipation is high for the upcoming time-travel concert in April. Sebastian Grünewald also looks ahead to the remaining rehearsals with confidence: "What we've achieved together in recent months is already something special. The path that lies ahead, however, will be even more exciting and thrilling." The challenge lies in internalizing the choral pieces, along with the choreography and short scenes. The choir's "time travelers" believe they can captivate the audience with the energy and passion that each member has poured into this project
With a musical journey through the decades, the choir "da capo" presents a 70-year voyage through music history at the Münster Cultural Hall. The project is more than just music – it's an emotional journey brought to life through a diverse program of rock and pop. The choir director, various small teams (stage design, organizing committee, creative team, director, costume designer, and more), and the entire choir have collaborated to create and bring this journey through time to life. Every scene, every witty or charming dialogue, every performance by the choir or soloists is the result of their own creative vision and execution. They are also supported in their realization by Marcel Fischer-May – a trained musical performer with stage experience – who advises the "time travelers." The Wehrle Dance School will also enrich the evening with fitting dance numbers that harmoniously complement the overall experience. The project received financial support from local businesses, for which the association and all the "time travelers" are very grateful.
Audiences can look forward to a varied evening where celebrities like Elvis, KISS, Michael Jackson, Adele will rock the stage in the "Music Cafe", or Billie Eilish, Metallica and Lady Gaga will provide softer tones for special moments.
Tickets are available from the singers, the association, and at the following advance ticket outlets: "Süsse Ecke" in Münster, "Bücherinsel" in Dieburg, "Schreibwaren Hesse" in Gross Zimmern, and "Buchhandlung Rödermark." More information can be found at: www.dacapo-zeitreise.de
