5000 meters of LED string lights will create a festive atmosphere from November 27th.
Griesheim. The town of Griesheim began installing its popular Christmas lights Employees of the municipal works department are distributing approximately 5,000 meters of energy-saving LED light strings
Following a final technical check, the lighting is scheduled to be switched on for the first time November 27th January 6th, 2026. "The lights will illuminate the streets and towns from dusk until 10:30 p.m. and from 6:00 a.m. until dawn," explains Sebastian Schmidt from the municipal building yard.
Wilhelm-Leuschner-Straße will once again be a particularly impressive sight when the columnar hornbeams between the market square and Place Bar-le-Duc are illuminated in festive light. St. Stephans-Platz , the town hall , Haus Waldeck , the Hintergasse parking lot , Place Bar-le-Duc , Groß-Gerauer Straße , and the Nordring roundabout be decorated with strings of lights.
In addition, two large Christmas trees
erected on Georg-Schüler-Platz and Jean-Bernard-Platz (“Am Kreuz”) Griesheim Christmas market , which will take place from December 5th to 7th, 2025, between Jean-Bernard-Platz and the museum.
