Focus on the budget situation and property tax increase
City Council Chairwoman Ingrid Zimmermann invites you to this year's citizens' assembly on Thursday, September 18, 2025. The event begins at 7 p.m. in Council Chamber C of the Town Hall and will be broadcast simultaneously via live stream.
Main topic: Financial and budgetary situation
The focus will be on the current financial situation of the city of Griesheim. The administration will explain the reasons for the strained budget and address the approved increase in property tax. Questions from a citizens' initiative regarding the property tax increase will also be answered.
Open Q&A session and exchange
In addition to the main topic, the citizens' assembly offers space for other current issues. During an open question-and-answer session, participants can address their concerns directly to the chair of the city council and the administration. Citizens joining digitally can also ask questions and offer suggestions via the chat function.
The citizens' assembly is intended not only to inform, but also to promote dialogue between the city administration and the citizens.
