Riedstadt once again the most bicycle-friendly municipality – Mörfelden-Walldorf and Stockstadt in second and third place
The Groß-Gerau district has presented the results of the 2025 City Cycling 5,774 cyclists – almost 500 more than last year – participated 253 teams . Together, they covered 853,486 kilometers . This results in an estimated CO₂ saving of around 140 tons , assuming that car journeys were replaced by cycling.
Riedstadt has been the leader since 2021
Riedstadt has once again secured the title of the most bicycle-friendly municipality. During the campaign period, residents of 5.92 kilometers Mörfelden-Walldorf came in second Stockstadt am Rhein in third place (4.39 kilometers).
All 14 municipalities in the Groß-Gerau district participated in the campaign between May 18th and June 7th, 2025.
Strong performances also in parliaments and teams
Riedstadt once again boasts the most bicycle-friendly local council 62.76 kilometers were cycled per council member Bischofsheim and Gernsheim followed in second and third place, respectively .
In terms of absolute figures, Rüsselsheim with 248,649 kilometers , followed by Mörfelden-Walldorf (170,911 kilometers) and Riedstadt (137,859 kilometers).
